Doucette Ed Tech

The Doucette Library at the University of Calgary serves the Werklund School of Education students, staff and faculty.  Our students embark on a field experience in each of their 4 semesters before they receive their teaching degree.  Along with the many practical resources we provide them, we also want to equip them with skills to embed technology into their classrooms. We have robots, STEM kits, circuits, arduinos and other small kit technology for them to sign out. Training on SmartBoards, iPad apps, digital portfolios and other technology is also provided.  We like to research the leading edge technologies present in K-12 and post-secondary education.

The Doucette Ed Tech Blog will address new educational technologies and how to embed them into a classroom setting.  We follow blogs, websites, journals, and suppliers of educational technology in order to write about the most important and most useful innovations.
